We have heard this statement many times and it's true!
Volunteers are the life-blood of SCAA. Without volunteers we could
not function. We currently have over 30 certified EMT's on staff, however
we are constantly looking to expand our ranks.
Our goal is to fully staff seven (7) crews with three people consisting
of two EMT's and a driver. PA state code requires an ambulance driver
to meet minimum EMS certification, which is CPR and First Responder
certification.
We are seeking non-EMS volunteers to assist us with administrative
tasks, such as billing, membership and other office and managerial tasks
along with annual CPR certification. We are also looking for someone
to be our Event Coordinator to assist us when our ambulance is needed
for stand-by service within the community for special events. Volunteers
would reduce the workload on our EMT staff.
